Our friends recently had an adorable little girl and we were invited to her baptism this weekend. This was the perfect opportunity to play with my new Color Cross bundle!! The base of the card is bubble gum card stock layered with buttercream card stock and dark roast card stock that was stamped with the Vintage Notes stamp in buttercream ink. I wanted a subtle, almost splotchy, background so I inked the Vintage Notes stamp very randomly and not completely. I stamped the cross on buttercream card stock in dark roast ink and then stamped randomly over the cross with my Ink Splat stamp and bubble gum ink. I cut the cross using the coordinating die and my RG Amaze machine. I hand cut the buttercream card stock banner for the sentiment (also from the Color Cross stamp set) and stamped it in dark roast ink with an overlay of Ink Splat in bubble gum ink. I tied a bow using our new bubble gum checks satin ribbon around the dark roast card stock layer and then used my silver journey thread to tie a bow around the bubble gum bow. I popped the cross and sentiment up using journey foam squares and embellished by adding pearls, rhinestones, special celebrations sequins and journey sparkle cuts adhered with journey glaze.

This guy was my first valentine of the season. I think he's adorable and there's so much you can do with him! Think outside the box - I have seen his bag filled with flowers, coffee, you name it, he can carry it! This card has a base of candy apple card stock and I layered pool play on top. The whip cream layer was stamped using the Lots of Love ATS with lovely blue ink for the background and the lineup wall was stamped in candy apple ink. I added a strip of black and white striped printed paper from the Sweet Spring paper collection, layered with pool play sparkle tape and a hand cut banner in candy apple card stock stamped in black licorice ink. I stamped hearts from the Love Bandit stamp set on pool play and candy apple card stock and die cut with the matching Love Bandit die set and RG Amaze. I stamped THE love bandit himself on whip cream card stock with black licorice ink. I colored him using my Journey Color Splash watercolor pencils and blending brush. I popped everything up using journey foam squares and embellished with a bow in licorice twist journey twine and journey sparkle cuts adhered with journey glaze.
Live a creative life, Jenny As one of the ten Fun Stampers Journey coaches on the 2016-2017 Leadership Team I had the privilege of attending an amazing retreat in Arizona last month. I spent a lot of time with fellow members of the Leadership Team, Richard, Gabby and the rest of the FSJ corporate team. It was a once in a lifetime trip that I will never forget. There were meetings and feedback sessions and planning for the future and of course STAMPING!!! We had the honor of creating with members of the FSJ design team - we were totally spoiled with lots of current and UPCOMING products. Seriously, spoiled. We also had a card swap; below are the swaps I received. I love them all!! Live a creative life, Jenny |
